Appendix
It is a finger-shaped pouch that projects from our colon on the lower right side of our abdomen, where the large and small intestines connect. The human appendix may be considered a vestigial organ.
Large intestine
Also called the colon, it accepts the half-digested waste from the small intestine, absorbs water, nutrients, and electrolytes from this waste, and forms feces.
Small intestine
It is a long, narrow tube extending from the stomach to the large intestine where most of the digestion and absorption takes place. It is about 6.7 to 7.6 metres long!
