Flight

The thorax muscles power the bee’s wings for flying and movement and can help it beat its wings up to 230 times per second.

Eyes

The two large eyes comprise numerous tiny lenses that specialize in seeing patterns. Bees can see ultraviolet light and detect motion in as little as 1/300th of a second.

Class Insecta

The bee is an insect that has an exoskeleton of chitin plates. The dense hair that covers a bee's body also collects pollen and aids in body temperature regulation.
