Larynx

It is a hollow tube that connects our throat to the respiratory system. It contains our vocal cords and hence is often called the voice box.

Trachea

It is a hollow tube that connects our larynx to the lungs. Also called the windpipe consists of cartilage rings for support, mucus for trapping dirt, cilia for mucus movement, and muscles.

Bronchi & Bronchioles

These tubes connect the windpipe to the lungs, where our body exchanges oxygen for carbon dioxide (gas exchange in the alveoli).
