Dicotyledon

Any blooming plant, often known as an angiosperm, contains two cotyledons in the seed embryo. Flowers with petals that are multiples of four or five are known as dicot flowers.

The stamens

The stamen is the flower's male part and is made up of the anther and filament. The anther of a flower at the top of a stamen produces pollen. The thin tubular filament of the stamen supports the anther on its top.

Stigma

A female part of the flower that helps capture pollen released from the anther. The styles of the pistil are fused, making a distinctive five-parted, star-like stigma at the end.
