Stigma

This is the sticky part of a flower’s carpel which traps pollen grains. It is the receptive part of the carpel where fertilization begins for sexual reproduction in plants.

Style

This is the long slender stalk of the pistil connecting the ovary to the stigma. It aids in fertilization by transferring the pollen tubes to the ovary.

Ovary

This is the enlarged basal portion of the pistil. It contains ovules that develops into seeds after fertilization.

Receptacle

The part of a flower stalk where the parts of the flower are attached.
