Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)
It is a hormone disorder of the endocrine system where abnormal hormone levels prevent the release of egg cells from the follicles resulting in numerous small collections of fluid.
Ovary
The ovaries are two small, oval-shaped glands that produce and store eggs in the ovarian follicles which are released during ovulation.
Uterus
The hollow, pear-shaped organ in a woman's pelvis, where a fetus (unborn baby) develops and grows. Also called the womb.
