Skeletal Muscle

Skeletal muscles are the muscles attached to bones that control the movement of the body. They are voluntary muscles, meaning they can be consciously controlled. These muscles work in pairs, with one muscle contracting while the other relaxes. Skeletal muscles are striated, which means they have a striped appearance under a microscope.

Fascicle

A fascicle is a bundle of muscle fibers within a skeletal muscle. Fascicles are surrounded by a connective tissue sheath called the perimysium. The perimysium contains blood vessels and nerves that supply the fascicle with nutrients and stimulate muscle contraction.

Muscle Fiber

Muscle fibers are the individual cells that make up skeletal muscles. They are long and cylindrical in shape and contain multiple nuclei. Muscle fibers are composed of myofibrils responsible for the muscle's ability to contract and produce movement.
