Bohr's model of Carbon
Bohr model of the atom
According to Bohr (1913), electrons moved in distinctive energy levels or orbitals around the positively charged nucleus of one proton. Without the neutrally charged neutrons, the protons would mutually repel each other, and the nucleus would fall apart.
Electrons
Electrons are a part of the building blocks of matter called atoms. These particles constitute the negative charge in an atom and are responsible for creating bonds between different atoms.
Orbitals
An orbital is a three-dimensional description of the most likely location of an electron around an atom. These orbitals are arranged according to the amount of energy electrons in these orbitals have and are called energy levels.
