Calling all US high school Math & Science teachers to reach out to us for free VR pilots in your classrooms starting October 2019!

Let’s Make Learning immersive for all

The Power of Immersive Technology in Education and Skill Development

Inspirit Learning, Inc. is a young and recently funded Silicon Valley immersive technology company that uses the power of virtual reality (VR) to boost learning and critical skill development in learners across the globe. We are working to build a VR platform with an ever growing collection of 400+ immersive and interactive experiences across K12 math and science common core topic areas. Our content is built to stimulate high knowledge gain, deep engagement, and critical reasoning in learners through their active involvement in virtual environments. We partner with high-school institutions across the US to bring immersive VR content to schools and the home.

Our vision is to enhance human potential through immersive learning. We seek to leverage new media technologies like virtual reality (VR) in a human-centered and empathetic way and build deep and immersive learning experiences for children. We believe the future of learning is hybrid: our mission is to support teachers at what they do best by augmenting (and not replacing) their classroom expertise with our immersive VR educational curriculum.

Behavior Change

To truly understand another person’s point of view we’re asked to ‘put ourselves in their shoes’. This is a tactic generally used to get a better understanding of the problem or situation by fostering empathy, humility, conflict resolution and tolerance. Immersive and novel perspective-taking simulations can help learners truly understand the world around them and inculcate behavior change through empathy building. This will ultimately lead to Emotional Intelligence improvement.

Knowledge Retention and Reinforcement

We found that students reported higher test scores after using our High School Biology VR content for 5-10 minutes every day for a week. Not only were there scores higher at the end of their week of using VR, they also reported higher scores on a test taken a few weeks later. Immersion can create a lasting impact on the user. This medium supports higher knowledge retention and is a great tool for reinforcement.

Eliminates Language Barriers

The world is shrinking with globalization. Travel has become easier, yet communication is still a challenge in today’s multicultural societies. Linguistic barriers can be lifted in the world of learning through VR, which can be created in any language. Students trying to learn a new language can practice through immersion. Rather than travelling to a new location to learn, they can ‘travel’ using VR to practice their skills. VR is also a great distance learning tool, since students can watch simulations in both the language they know and the language they are trying to learn to make connections, rather than only in the classroom.

Why Virtual Reality?

Positive Behavior Change

VR enables learning through experiences which help boost positive behavioural patterns and reduce implicit and unconscious stereotyping.

Inquiry-Based Learning

VR promotes deeper, critical thinking through building user engagement and confidence.

Training and Simulation

VR affords the simulation of difficult real-life scenarios and experiences that can be used for training and experimentation.

Now no place is far away; from up in the Arctic to deep inside Pacific, to seeing an elephant or a microbe. Just hop on and bring along your sense of wonder!

Fueling Empathy

With perspective taking VR experience, we learn about the world beyond our own surroundings, thereby helping us not only see life through another lens but truly understanding and feeling through another perspective.
