Simple Lens
The biconvex lens consists of two convex surfaces in spherical form. A lens thicker at the center than the edges is convex or converging. It makes an object appear much larger than it actually is.
Lens Uses
Biconvex lenses are employed as condensing or magnifying devices. Many imaging systems, such as telescopes, monoculars, microscopes, binoculars, cameras, and projectors, use these to generate highly magnified images of tiny objects.
