Submetacentric Chromosomes

Submetacentric chromosomes have the centromere a little away from the center. These are present in humans, such as chromosome 2.

Metacentric Chromosomes

Metacentric chromosomes have the centromere located in the center. These are present in humans, such as chromosome 19.
