Midrib

The central or main vein of the leaf.

Vein

The vascular system in the leaf that supports and transports nutrient material to and fro the leaf tissue and petiole.

Petiole

A stalk that connects the leaf blade to the stem of the plant.

Reticulate Venation

A type of venation in which the veins run irregularly to form a network. It is the characteristic feature of the dicot leaf.
